Shark Cage Diving Durban have a great respect for the natural underwater world and take a holistic approach to Shark Diving at Durban's Aliwal Shoal without disrupting their natural habitat.

Many shark species are being pushed towards extinction through uncontrolled, destructive fishing methods. The sheer lack of compassion, understanding and basic awareness people have of these animals is enabling the slaughter of millions of sharks each year to continue unabated.

We started the first Shark Cage Diving operation in Durban in 2010 with the objective to create an understanding towards and awareness for the conservation of sharks in our waters.

Our mission is to use this incredible shark diving experience at Durban's Aliwal Shoal to connect people with healthy shark populations and to educate and create an increase in awareness for these majestic creatures.

John Miller

John Miller, owner and CEO of Shark Cage Diving Durban and pioneer in shark cage diving, is a diving specialist with more than 25 years of Scuba Diving experience - both in diving with sharks and diving coral reefs . He, together with his experienced team, will ensure you have the most unforgettable shark diving experience at Aliwal Shoal, just south of Durban!

James

James is a Dive Master with over 15 years in the industry. James has a vast knowledge on scuba diving and been diving with sharks for over 10 years. He has been part of a few documentaries with NGO and Animal Planet and his extensive knowledge of Durban's Aliwal Shoal makes each shark cage diving trip and experience to remember!

Brian

Brian has 5 years diving experience and shares an incredible passion for shark cage diving and the wonders of the ocean habitat, with a special love and respect for Aliwal Shoal, one of the world's top diving reefs just south of Durban.

Bheki

Bheki (above) has worked in the diving industry and been a Skipper for over 20 years. His experience and expertise ensure a safe trip out to Durban's Aliwal Shoal each time!
